Vibe Middle East and DNA Events have announced that Spanish Legend Julio Iglesias is to bring his unique brand of magic to Dubai on the 19th of May 2005, playing at the 10,000 seat Dubai Media City venue as part of his last world tour, after a musical career of more than three decades influenced music around the globe.

This is an unmissable event for Julio’s fans in the region and for anyone that loves real music,” said Yassin Matbouly, Managing Director of Vibe Middle East. “We’re obviously delighted to be able to put together this event and to welcome the legend ‘Julio’ to Dubai. It’s going to be a fantastic night that people will remember for a lifetime.”

Julio is the world’s biggest superstar performer and he’s going to be playing Dubai as part of his last world tour. Iglesias, who has sold over 200 million records worldwide, made over 70 albums and been awarded over 2,600 gold and platinum disks, is the biggest star act ever to visit the region.
Awarded a ‘Diamond Record’ by the Guiness Book of Records, a unique award that recognised his achievement of selling more records in more languages than any other performer in history, Iglesias consistently smashes box office records, playing to crowds of over 100,000 people.
A truly global star, Iglesias’ music crosses boundaries around the world. Appointed by UNICEF as ‘Special Representative for the Performing Arts’, Iglesias’ musical career started in 1968 when he took up music as a therapy after a near-fatal car crash ended his football career. The former Real Madrid professional won the Benidorm song festival, going on to smash records in Spain and Latin America, selling millions of records and playing to massive crowds.
Iglesias was recording in English by 1984, with his first English language record, “1100 Bel Air Place” going multi-platinum. Now, over 78 records later, Iglesias’ latest release is a much-awaited ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation that encapsulates a truly stellar musical career.

We have been getting a lot of requests from fans in the region to bring Julio Iglesias, and we finally managed to get him for a one night only performance as part of his last world tour. Fans can buy tickets for the concert at AED 155 for standing, AED 255 for seating and AED 395 for VIP Grandstand seating, all tickets prices will have a 5% service charge added to the price.
